The rapper Wiz Khalifa, whose real name is Thomaz Cameron Jibril, was sentenced to nine months in prison for possession of controlled substances after smoking cannabis on stage at the 'Beach, Please!' Festival in Costinești in 2024.

The Constanța Court of Appeal definitively rejected his appeal, upholding the initial sentence. In the spring of 2024, the Constanța Tribunal had sentenced the artist to a criminal fine, but DIICOT prosecutors contested the decision, seeking a harsher penalty.

The court's decision on Thursday is final, and Wiz Khalifa will have to serve the sentence, although he has filed a motion for execution, which will be judged in March 2026. The incident was considered serious due to its influence on young people.
