Two workers from the town of Siret, aged 30 and 48, died after falling into a manhole for the wastewater recirculation pumps, at a depth of approximately 5 meters. Military firefighters intervened to extract them, finding them in a state of unconsciousness.

Medical personnel began resuscitation efforts; however, despite their efforts, nothing more could be done for the victims, who were declared dead. An investigation has been opened to determine the circumstances of the accident and to identify all the circumstances that led to this tragedy. Intervention teams, including a rescue vehicle and a SMURD ambulance, were allocated to the scene.
