The incident took place in a military unit in Cluj, when two soldiers who were about to pick up a vehicle noticed that a tire was deflated. While they were inflating the tire, the tire exploded, causing serious injuries to one of them, who died after an hour of resuscitation. The other soldier suffered lighter injuries and was hospitalized at the Military Hospital in Cluj. The authorities have opened a criminal file for manslaughter and failure to respect security measures.
