Drivers traveling on the Craiova - Pitești expressway should prepare for traffic restrictions in the coming days, following necessary interventions to address infrastructure issues. The asphalt shows unevenness and cracks, and landslides raise questions about the road's stability.

The first repairs are taking place between the Negreni and Valea Mare junctions, in the direction towards Craiova, under emergency conditions, after many drivers reported potholes in the roadway. A section of approximately 20 kilometers has been completely closed, and traffic has been diverted to National Road 65, which has caused dissatisfaction among drivers. The repairs are covered by a 10-year warranty, and the spokesperson for DRDP Craiova, Cristi Tudor, has urged drivers to travel at reduced speed and to be cautious in the affected areas. The expressway, fully opened last summer, cost nearly 5 billion lei.
