A section of DN 29D, between Botoșani and Vama Stânca, has collapsed due to landslides. DRDP Iași announces that the road is under warranty.

A section of the national road DN 29D, which connects the municipality of Botoșani to the Stânca border crossing, collapsed due to landslides, the incident occurring in the area of a viaduct in the locality of Drislea, Trușești commune. The collapse happened less than three years after the rehabilitation and modernization of the road, which cost over 260 million lei.

The management of the Regional Directorate of Roads and Bridges (DRDP) Iași confirmed that the road is under warranty, and the contractor will carry out the repairs at their own expense. The director of DRDP Iași, Ovidiu Mugurel Laicu, mentioned that the lands in the area are sensitive, with landslide issues, but action will be taken to restore the road to its original state. Repairs are expected in the near future.
