The Giurgiu Territorial Inspectorate of the Border Police announces that, from April 9 to April 14, 2026, the Friendship Bridge Giurgiu-Ruse will be open to traffic in both directions, according to an official notification from the Bulgarian authorities. This measure comes after the completion of scheduled repair works on that section. Starting from April 14, 2026, at 08:00, the works will continue, and road traffic will be conducted alternately, on a single lane. The Giurgiu Territorial Inspectorate of the Border Police collaborates with the Romanian Police and the Bulgarian border authorities to efficiently manage road traffic, preventing blockages and maintaining a smoother flow of traffic in the border area.
