The Cluj Regional Directorate of Roads and Bridges announced that, starting Tuesday, July 7, traffic on the A10 Sebeș-Turda Highway will be closed in the Unirea-Turda direction, over a stretch of 17 kilometers, due to asphalt subsidence.

The decision was made following the worsening instability of the roadway and the embankment, and the repair works will begin immediately. Traffic will be closed between kilometers 52+800 and 70+000, and traffic will be diverted from the Unirea Interchange on DN1, with re-entry onto the highway at the Turda Interchange. The Ministry of Transport has requested urgent clarifications from CNAIR regarding the situation and an intervention plan to prevent the extension of the damages, likely caused by rainwater infiltration.

The subsidence was previously observed in the same area, raising questions about the durability of the works carried out.
