Traffic is congested on the DN 5 Giurgiu-Ruse highway, on the way out of the country, due to works on the Friendship Bridge.

On Sunday afternoon, the DN 5 Giurgiu-Ruse is congested on the exit direction, due to repair works on the Bulgarian section of the Friendship Bridge, where traffic is alternating on one lane. The Infotraffic Center advises road users to plan their journeys carefully and use alternative routes to avoid traffic jams. Alternative routes include crossing points in Dolj, Teleorman and Constanța counties.
