Three people, sent to trial after registering a newborn in the name of another woman

Three people have been sent to trial by prosecutors in Blaj, after allegedly falsifying identity and civil status documents so that a newborn child could be registered as belonging to a woman other than the biological mother. According to investigators, the natural mother gave birth using the identity of the other defendant, and subsequently, her husband obtained the birth certificate based on false statements. As a result of these actions, the woman who was listed in the documents as the mother also received the state allowance for the child. Prosecutors are now seeking the annulment of the falsified documents, and the case has been sent for trial at the Mediaș Court.
