Three department heads from Timișoara Municipal Hospital have been sent to trial after the illegal retirement of 22 employees

The former interim manager, the head of the Human Resources Office and the head of the Legal Service at Timișoara Municipal Hospital have been indicted for repeated intellectual forgery committed jointly, involving 22 separate acts. One of the defendants is also accused of repeated use of forged documents.

According to the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Timișoara District Court, the three women signed, on March 14, 2025, decisions terminating the individual employment contracts of 22 employees. Prosecutors claim that the documents contained false statements and were dated March 11, 2025, so they would fall under the provisions of an emergency ordinance and allow the contracts to be terminated.

When preparing the documents, the defendants allegedly knew that legislation suspended until December 31, 2025, the termination of contracts for contractual employees paid from public funds who met the retirement conditions and had been issued a retirement decision.

One of the defendants allegedly entered the 22 decisions into REVISAL, despite knowing they were false. The investigation included interviews, computer searches and checks at the hospital’s premises. The case was handled by Timiș police officers under the coordination of the prosecutor in charge.
