Thousands of Bucharest residents, especially from sectors 2, 3, and 4, are facing a lack of hot water and heating due to the breakdown at CET Sud and the technical works announced by Termoenergetica, which will last until January 31. Approximately 250 apartment buildings do not have access to hot water, and another 530 properties do not receive thermal agent at low temperatures. A resident from the Vitan neighborhood has filed a criminal complaint against the management of Termoenergetica, accusing them of false statements and abuse of office, as he is receiving cold water. He has initiated a petition to request the non-payment of bills for the month of January, gathering thousands of signatures. Termoenergetica claims that citizens only pay for the services they benefit from, and experts recommend recalculating the bills for those affected. According to the contract, hot water must be delivered at 50-60 degrees Celsius, and pressure and flow parameters must be constantly respected.
