The Vodafone Romania Foundation continues the Fund for Newborns program, aimed at ensuring equal access to care for newborns.

At this stage, 42 hospitals have participated, and eight medical units will be equipped with essential equipment. Angela Galeța, the director of the Foundation, announced that it is estimated that over 7,500 newborns will benefit from improved care.

The included hospitals are from Pitești, Reșița, Carei, Turda, Buzău, Onești, Focșani, and Odorheiu Secuiesc. More than 40 pieces of equipment will be purchased, including ventilators and monitors for vital functions. The Foundation has invested in neonatology for 12 years, contributing to the reduction of infant mortality in Romania. It also encourages donations to support the program, considering that only 9% of neonatal units have all the necessary equipment.

The Vodafone Romania Foundation, established in 1998, is dedicated to developing disadvantaged communities and improving the lives of the vulnerable.
