CNAIR: Transfăgărășanul could be reopened on Friday morning, if no major problems are identified.

Cristian Pistol, the general director of CNAIR, announced that the Transfăgărășan could be reopened on Friday morning, starting at 09:00, in case the special commission does not identify major problems.

After reopening, traffic on the section between Piscul Negru and Bâlea Cascadă will only be allowed between 07:00 and 21:00, for safety reasons, considering the mountain conditions.

Authorities recommend drivers to respect this time frame and to inform themselves before setting off, due to the rapid changes in weather in the area.
