A 5-year-old boy drowned in a pool at an inn in Bacau County.

A 5-year-old boy died after being found floating in a pool at a party held at an inn in the town of Gheorghe Doja, Bacău County. According to the police, the child was left unsupervised in the yard, and when his mother checked on him, it was already too late.

The medical team responded quickly, but resuscitation efforts lasted 45 minutes without success. The innkeeper stated that the pool was not open to the public and that, at the time of the accident, there was no one nearby to notice that the boy had approached the water. The police have opened an investigation for manslaughter, and child protection authorities will collaborate to investigate the incident. The family has another daughter, and authorities will provide psychological counseling following the tragedy.
