The Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Russian ambassador: Romania condemns the violation of Poland's airspace by Russian drones.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) summoned, on Thursday, the ambassador of the Russian Federation in Bucharest to communicate its firm condemnation of the violation of Poland's airspace by Russian drones.

"The Romanian side emphasized that, due to the seriousness, implications, and magnitude, the respective incident represents an unprecedented escalation, as well as a threat to the security of the citizens of an Allied state and strategic partner of Romania. This incident illustrates once again the extensive, severe consequences of the aggressive war waged by the Russian Federation against Ukraine on regional stability and European security," the statement sent on Thursday evening by the ministry reads.
