The reception commission of the Zimbor - Poarta Sălajului section of the Transylvania Highway will start its activity on Monday, August 7, according to a statement by Cristian Pistol, the general director of CNAIR.
The technical team of CNAIR is already present on site to initiate the reception procedure, while the final works are being completed. The Romanian contractor UMB is installing the guardrail in the area of the technological openings, and the shotcrete of the retaining wall at km 21 is in the process of completion.
After the opening of traffic, access to the 12.24 km will be possible through the road nodes at Zimbor and Românași.
The works are financed through the Transport Program 2021-2027 and were carried out by the association SC SA&PE Construct SRL, SC Spedition UMB SRL, and SC Tehnostrade SRL, costing 905 million lei.
The A3 highway facilitates modern connections between Transylvania, Moldova, and the country's borders.
