Following the protests of freight carriers in Serbia, which began on January 26, 2026, the Territorial Inspectorate of the Border Police Timișoara has implemented operational measures to manage the situation. Police are constantly monitoring the developments and collaborating with Serbian authorities to ease traffic. Although the transit of freight trucks is affected, car traffic is proceeding normally, thanks to the existence of separate lanes. Additional information measures are in place to reduce waiting times and prevent blockages. The Border Police recommends that traffic participants consult the Traffic Online application and use alternative routes, considering possible delays.
