The opening of traffic on a 14 km segment of the A7 Motorway, between Bucharest and Focșani, is scheduled for 3:00 PM, according to sources from ECONOMICA.NET. This will allow traffic exclusively on the motorway over a total distance of approximately 211 km. The Secretary of State for Transport, Irinel Ionel Scrioșteanu, announced that the traffic opening will take place at the end of next week. In November 2023, the contract for the Pietrosele – Buzău lot was signed with the Turkish contractors Nurol and Makyol, thus concluding a long contracting odyssey through PNRR for the 319 km of A7. Lot 3, with a length of 13.9 km, has a value of 1.24 billion lei, excluding VAT, and an execution duration of 20 months.
