The National Cathedral will be closed for interior works between November 15 and 29, 2025, after a period of intense pilgrimage. During the period from November 6 to 14, the place of worship will be open daily from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The Cathedral will reopen on November 30, on St. Andrew's Day, for the Holy Liturgy, and will remain open on December 1 for the Tedeum service. After a new closure between December 3 and 23 for additional works, the Cathedral will be open for visits again from December 24 to January 8, 2026. So far, over 260,000 pilgrims have visited the Cathedral, which is recognized as the largest Orthodox church in the world.
