The Mircea schooner participated in the sailboat parade in New York on Independence Day.

Accompanied by the intonation of the Sailors' March from the cadets, the tall ship Mircea entered New York against the backdrop of scorching temperatures. The cadets greeted the Statue of Liberty and paraded in front of a large audience along the banks of the Hudson River, on the occasion of America's Day. During the parade, the ship sailed between a Portuguese and a Spanish sailing vessel, and was also observed by the Romanian Eduard Ilie, an influencer with over 160,000 followers on Instagram.

The cadets expressed pride in representing Romania, emphasizing the importance of the moment, considering that the ship also participated 50 years ago in the same place. The tall ship parade was a highlight of the 5-month training cruise, and the Mircea will continue its journey home, with planned stops in Boston, Lisbon, Malaga, and Istanbul.
