The mobilization exercise of the Romanian army, conducted in Bucharest and Ilfov County, generated queues at military units, but the Ministry of National Defense (MApN) emphasized that it was planned since last year and does not represent an emergency. Colonel Corneliu Ștefan Pavel, the spokesperson for MApN, stated that those called to MOBEX will not be sent to war. The exercise aims to test the mobilization of reservists and the cooperation between MApN and other institutions, such as the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAI) and the Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI). Additionally, the colonel acknowledged that there were organizational issues, but these are normal considering the size of the Capital, which represents 10% of Romania's population. The purpose of MOBEX is to identify and correct any mistakes in the conduct of the exercises.
