Hundreds of reservists from Neamț, Suceava and Botoșani are taking part in MOBEX 2026, including live-fire exercises at the Gârleni Training Range

Hundreds of reservists from the counties of Neamț, Suceava and Botoșani are taking part in the MOBEX 2026 mobilization exercise, organized during this period at the Gârleni Training Range in Bacău County. The exercise assesses how the population, economy and territory are prepared for defense.

The former military personnel were called to their units and took part in training activities, including live-fire exercises. For some of them, this is their first contact with a weapon in decades. After receiving instruction from the shooting instructors, the reservists carried out the exercises set out in the program.

The exercise commander, Brigadier General Adrian Vasiliu, explained that MOBEX 2026 is a complex exercise because it is taking place simultaneously in three administrative-territorial units and involves several institutions, military units and a large number of reservists.

MOBEX exercises are held periodically in peacetime to assess the resources available to national defense and security structures. Three such exercises are planned this year. The next one is scheduled for next month in Bucharest and Ilfov County.
