The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Romania has decided to raise the travel warning level for the Islamic Republic of Iran to the maximum of 9/9, urging Romanian citizens to leave the country immediately due to the increased risks of escalation of the security situation. The MFA recommends Romanians in Iran to use any safe route available to exit the country and emphasizes that there are still available flights.

Citizens who have planned trips to Iran are advised to cancel them. Additionally, the MFA encourages Romanians in Iran to register their presence at the Romanian Embassy in Tehran, using an available emergency phone number. In case of difficulties in contacting, there is an alternative through another phone number that redirects calls to the Contact and Support Center for Romanian Citizens Abroad.
