Draft of the Emergency Ordinance for copyright and related rights: Artists will be better protected and their incomes will be more secure.

The government analyzed in the meeting on Friday, in the first reading, the draft emergency ordinance initiated by the Ministry of Culture, which aligns national legislation regarding copyright and related rights with European norms and practices.

To simplify the authorization procedure and to increase the transparency of the collection and distribution activity of OGCs, the Ministry of Culture supports the establishment of a unique methodology and the creation of a common collection body, in the case of public communication of works for environmental purposes.
