He explained that the delay of the PUG is caused both by legal issues and by the poor communication between the City Hall and the consortium responsible for its development. Bâlici criticized the incoherence of urban planning by sectors, emphasizing that the chaotic development of the city and the lack of adequate infrastructure, such as schools and kindergartens, are direct effects of the absence of a unified vision. He highlighted that Bucharest has the smallest green spaces per capita in the European Union and proposed unsealing the concrete-covered areas to improve the urban environment. Additionally, Bâlici warned about seismic risks, mentioning that over 2000 buildings need urgent reinforcement. In the context of the 2024 referendum, which aims to centralize building permits, Bâlici expressed skepticism regarding the implementation of the changes desired by citizens.
