Bogdan Ivan reacted to a Reuters article claiming that Romania has increased its energy imports from the Russian Federation by 57%, stating that the information is incorrect. He emphasized that Romania has not imported gas and petroleum products from Russia since December 2022 and February 2023, complying with EU sanctions. Ivan called for the news to be updated and warned that any violation of the sanctions will be severely penalized. He also encouraged reporting to the authorities in cases of non-compliance with European legislation.
