Singh Bhupinder, the manager of the Caransebeș Municipal Hospital, was placed under preventive arrest after DNA prosecutors from Timișoara took him in as part of a corruption investigation. He is accused of having received 250,000 lei from a company administrator in exchange for awarding a repair contract to the hospital. Alongside him, two other individuals are being investigated, including a county councilor. Searches took place both at the hospital and at the homes of the suspects.
