The former military unit in Giroc will be transformed into a multifunctional center, named ForUM, which will include art galleries, educational laboratories, and spaces for artistic and cultural events. The total investment amounts to 70 million lei, of which half, approximately 35 million lei, will be covered by European funds through the 'New European Bauhaus' program.

The President of the Timiș County Council, Alfred Simonis, emphasized the importance of this project for the community, mentioning that the site will become a civic and cultural center. The project will also include a sports complex, as well as a school for children with special needs, which will be completed in June of this year. The discussions regarding the use of the space involved representatives from public institutions, associations, and NGOs.
