Electroputere Craiova will sell a 37-hectare plot located in the central-eastern part of the municipality, the announcement being made by the consulting firm Cushman Wakefield Echinox. The land, part of a larger platform of 60 hectares, offers development opportunities for residential properties, retail spaces, and logistics. The urban regeneration of the area has already begun successfully, considering that over 20 hectares have been transformed into multifunctional areas, including a shopping center and an aparthotel.

Investor interest in former industrial platforms has increased, and cities such as Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, and Timișoara have recorded significant transactions in this sector. The tourist potential of Craiova, with its rich cultural heritage, enhances the attractiveness of the Electroputere land, which is located near the main tourist attractions.

Electroputere was founded in 1949 and played an essential role in the development of the Romanian energy system. After privatization in 2007, the company underwent a restructuring process, and in 2011 it sold part of the land to developer K&S Developments, where ElectroputereParc was built. The current sale of the 37-hectare land represents a continuation of the transformation of the area into a reference urban hub.
