The Ministry of Transport has opened the DN3 overpass over the A0 / Lots 3 and 4 could be inaugurated next week

The DN3 overpass over the Bucharest Ring Road Motorway (A0) opened to traffic on Monday, announced Ionel Scrioșteanu, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Transport. The construction removes a critical obstacle to completing Lot 3 of the A0 North, where work has reached more than 98.5%.

Lot 3 is expected to open to traffic next week, around October 20, together with Lot 4. Following the inauguration of the two lots, drivers will be able to travel continuously on the motorway from Constanța and Craiova to Bacău.

For now, traffic on the DN3 overpass is running on two lanes. The other two are expected to open in a few days, after the expansion joints and safety barrier are installed.

The final works are under way at the construction site: installing expansion joints and barriers, applying road markings and installing signs, soundproofing panels, lighting and the intelligent traffic management system. The latter is being tested. The project is co-financed by European funds.
