Criminal investigation regarding irregularities in the management of deaths, in Cluj-Napoca

The police from the Cluj County Police Inspectorate, coordinated by a prosecutor from the Cluj-Napoca Court Prosecutor's Office, conducted 9 searches in Cluj-Napoca and Chinteni in a criminal case regarding possible forgeries related to the management of deaths and the issuance of death certificates. Investigators are checking compliance with legal burial procedures and the circulation of documents.

Funeral companies, individuals, an accounting firm, and the office of a forensic pathologist are targeted. Several structures of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are participating in the action, and the investigation is ongoing.
