The Ploiești Court of Appeal returned the case file of Sebastian Ghiță, accused of influence peddling and incitement to forgery, to the DNA, citing irregularities in the prosecutors' documentation. The court rejected the DNA's appeals and confirmed previous decisions that excluded essential evidence from the case. Ghiță, a fugitive since 2016, is accused of obtaining illegal commissions from IT companies in exchange for awarding state contracts, the amount being nearly 30 million lei.
