Cristian Pistol, the director of CNAIR, announced that the works on the Sibiu-Pitești Highway, the mountain section, will continue in the first days of the year, despite unfavorable weather conditions.

This investment, worth 4.25 billion lei (excluding VAT), is financed through the Transport Program 2021-2027 and aims to connect the Port of Constanța with the western border of Romania. Cristian Pistol mentioned that the works on Section 2 (Boița-Cornetu) are progressing steadily, with over 70 workers and 40 machines mobilized. At the Robești tunnel, 240 meters have already been excavated in the right gallery and 200 meters in the left one, while the works on the Boița viaduct are progressing, using over 4,000 tons of metal.
