Following a debate organized by Ciprian Ciucu, the Ministry of Culture promised support for the cleaning of graffiti from buildings in Bucharest, however, the Capital City Hall claims that this support has not materialized.

City hall representatives state that current legislative provisions hinder interventions, requiring multiple approvals and documentation for simple cleaning actions. The general mayor declared that he is no longer waiting for the Ministry of Culture and that the cleaning program will continue, being included on the agenda of the next Council meeting.

Local authorities will clean the buildings in the 98 protected areas, and owners will be notified to remove the graffiti at their own expense within 90 days, otherwise they risk penalties. An alternative for owners is to enroll in the city hall program, which will cover 80% of the costs, thus facilitating the intervention of the authorities.
