On Saturday morning, the authorities began snow removal operations on roads in 14 counties and on several sections of highway, without any sectors having traffic stopped. Winter conditions are present on the A1 highway, between Bucharest and Pitești, as well as on the Râmnicu Vâlcea – Deva section and A10 Sebeș – Turda. Snow removal vehicles are active in the counties of Alba, Arad, Bihor, Brașov, Caraș-Severin, Cluj, Dâmbovița, Gorj, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Sălaj, Sibiu, Timiș, and Vâlcea, due to snowfall and sleet. The Infotrafic Center has confirmed that there are no national roads or highways with traffic stopped due to accidents or weather conditions. On the A2 and A3 highways, traffic is flowing smoothly, with wet road surfaces and good visibility. Authorities recommend that drivers stay informed about weather conditions and adjust their speed to the road conditions. Until Saturday evening, yellow and orange warnings for precipitation and strong winds are in effect, with possible snow accumulations of up to 50 cm.
