The terrifying crime in Bucharest: A 14-year-old girl instigated her boyfriend to kill her mother

A shocking crime took place in Bucharest, where a 14-year-old girl and her 20-year-old boyfriend were sent to trial for qualified murder. The incident occurred on the night of September 25/26, 2025, when the young man killed the girl's mother, against the backdrop of a relationship not accepted by the victim.

The girl allegedly instigated her boyfriend to commit the crime, administering sleeping pills to her mother in a glass of juice, before hitting her with hard objects and delivering a knife blow to her neck. A third young man, 22 years old, is being investigated for complicity, being accused of procuring the sleeping pills.

The corpse was buried in the Cernica Forest. A psychiatric evaluation established that the minor acted with discernment. The indictment was sent to the Bucharest Tribunal, and the measure of preventive detention was proposed for all defendants.
