A new border crossing point will be temporarily opened in the area of Uivar commune, Timiș County, at the initiative of the Timiș County Council, in collaboration with the authorities from Romania and Serbia.

It will operate on the bicycle path established along the Bega canal, between Timișoara and Zrenjanin, during specific intervals: March 28-29, April 25-26, May 2-3, May 7-10, and May 29-31, between 08:00 and 20:00. In the last period, crossing by water with vessels will also be allowed. The authorities hope that the opening of this point will stimulate traffic between the two countries and attract tourists, especially during the Easter period and spring events.

The Timișoara Border Police has ensured measures for an efficient conduct of the crossing formalities, and individuals wishing to enter Serbia must have a valid identity document. Minors must present all the necessary legal documents for leaving the country.
