The bridge over the Danube at Giurgiu, the main connection point between Romania and Bulgaria, will be completely closed for two days due to renovation works, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On Tuesday, traffic will be suspended between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM for all categories of vehicles. Additionally, between Tuesday evening at 9:00 PM and Wednesday morning at 9:00 AM, traffic will be stopped for trucks, and circulation will only be allowed for vehicles transporting people. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that Romanians traveling in Bulgaria use other border crossing points, such as Vidin-Calafat or Silistra-Ostrov, to avoid inconveniences caused by the closure of the bridge.
