Tánczos Barna, the UDMR vice-premier, stated in an interview on Digi 24 that his party will not have a prime minister 'when pigs fly', suggesting that this will never happen. He was asked about the possibility of Romanians electing an ethnic Hungarian as president of the country, to which he replied that this could only be possible when Romanians have total trust in the Hungarian community, believing that they want nothing but the good of Romania.

Tánczos mentioned that an ethnic German has already been elected president, but emphasized that trust is essential to overcome existing prejudices. This statement reflects the challenges faced by UDMR in the current political context in Romania.
