Designated deputy prime minister on behalf of the Democratic Alliance of Hungarians in Romania (UDMR), Tanczos Barna, invited designated prime minister Siegfried Mureșan to go to the mountains together after an informal moment on Saturday in the corridors of Parliament in Bucharest.
Barna accompanied Mureșan as he submitted the governing program and the list of ministers. Later, he remarked on the brisk pace at which the designated prime minister led him and the other members of the team through Parliament, saying it was faster than he had expected.
“I have worked with very many prime ministers and designated prime ministers, and you are in the best physical condition of them all,” Tanczos Barna told Siegfried Mureșan. He added that Mureșan “can handle the effort literally as well” and invited him to join him in the mountains “when we have time, in the near future.”
The statement was made in the context of the procedure to form the new government, after the official submission to Parliament of the documents required for the ministers’ hearings and the investiture vote. The moment had a relaxed tone, in contrast to the day’s official political agenda.
