The Alba Tribunal has issued a final decision in the case of Bumbea Gheorghe Radu, a supporter of Călin Georgescu, who was sent to trial for public incitement. The court reduced the sentence from 250 days-fine to 180 days-fine, maintaining the amount of a day-fine at 40 lei, resulting in a total fine of 7,200 lei. After deducting one day-fine for the period of detention, the final amount to be paid is 7,160 lei.
Additionally, the court imposed a complementary penalty, prohibiting him from exercising the right to be elected to public office for 2 years. Bumbea, at the age of 40, was brought to justice after he incited a revolt in a video message on Facebook, dissatisfied with the cancellation of the electoral process in November 2024 by the Constitutional Court.
