Live broadcasts with explicit content on TikTok: A supporter of the former candidate Călin Georgescu, detained in Timiș

Alin Borcan, an active supporter of the former presidential candidate Călin Georgescu, was detained by police in Timiș for 24 hours, being involved in a criminal case concerning offenses of outrage against public morals and disturbing public order.

The investigation was initiated after the police took notice of explicit sexual content videos and acts of exhibitionism broadcast on TikTok by a homosexual couple. Between 2025-2026, three men created and streamed these videos live, reaching between 3,700 and 22,800 users.

Two of the suspects, aged 31 and 41, have been interrogated and detained, and the 31-year-old man will be presented to the court with a proposal for preventive measures. Alin Borcan has previously been involved in controversies related to Georgescu's electoral campaign, including a controversial public appearance. The investigations continue under the coordination of the case prosecutor.
