Sorin Grindeanu, the president of PSD, stated on Saturday that the party will change direction and that things cannot continue as they have until now. During the Regional Conference in Timișoara, Grindeanu emphasized the importance of the vote on Monday, which will take place in the County Political Councils and the National Political Council, to decide the future of PSD.
The social-democratic leader mentioned that discussions included aspects related to local administration and the proper functioning of the Government. Grindeanu presented all possible scenarios, emphasizing that the vote must be clear-headed and rational, not emotional. Social democrats will meet on Monday at the Palace of Parliament for an event titled 'The Moment of Truth', where they will decide whether to remain in the current governing coalition. This decision is considered crucial, given the responsibility that PSD has as the most important party in Romania.
