A police officer from the Police School in Câmpina is accused of sexual assault against a student, the incident taking place right in a police office.

The management of a school in Câmpina reported to the police on December 20, after a student recounted a sexual assault committed by a police commissioner. The incident allegedly took place on the night of December 18 to 19, when four students were called into the duty officer's office, but only the victim remained inside. The commissioner allegedly tried to undress the young man and touch him in the genital area. The student managed to leave the office promising that he would return, but informed his classmates and the class teacher about what had happened, which led to the authorities being notified. Mihai Zlat, vice president of the SNPPC union, emphasized the seriousness of the situation, stating that students should be safe in public institutions. Judicial expert Cătălin Țone highlighted the negative impact of these actions on trust in the Romanian police and called for the removal of individuals with such behaviors from the system.
