The Sector 2 City Hall announced, through a statement, that it has submitted for funding the project 'Restoration, repairs, interior and exterior arrangements of the Gheorghe Hotăranu House', under the Bucharest-Ilfov Regional Program 2021-2027.

The building, constructed between 1925-1927, has significant architectural and cultural value, being linked to the pharmaceutical history of Bucharest. After the completion of the works, the property will become the Pharmacy Museum and will include administrative spaces.

The project includes the consolidation and modernization of the building, modern museum equipment, and educational activities. The total investment value is approximately 30 million lei, with funding coming from the European Regional Development Fund, the state budget, and contributions from partners.

The Sector 2 City Hall will ensure the funding of its activities within the project, aiming to save a historical monument and create a new cultural space for the community.
