Salvamont Argeș is trying to recover the body of a man who fell from the Lespezi Peak. Two other men died in separate accidents in the same area.

Salvamont Argeș is carrying out a recovery operation for the body of a man who died after falling nearly 500 meters from the Lespezi Peak, in the Făgăraș Mountains. The accident occurred on Saturday afternoon, while rescue teams were trying to extract another survivor from a similar incident. Due to unfavorable weather conditions, the helicopter could not be used, and 18 mountain rescuers began the ascent from the Topolog Valley to recover the body. The rescuers warn that the snow is frozen, and the ascent is dangerous, recommending tourists not to climb above 1600 meters. In another accident, three men from Ploiești slipped on a steep slope, resulting in two deaths and one survivor, who was rescued by the SMURD helicopter.
