Romsilva will sell 16,415 Christmas trees this winter, of which 13,462 are from the fir species and 2,953 from the spruce or other conifers. Most of the trees come from specialized crops in forest nurseries, while a smaller number is harvested from forest areas with excessive density. The forestry departments and units will honor the requests of the population through direct sales, and sales to economic operators will only be made within the limit of surplus. Prices start at 17 lei for spruce trees up to 1.3 meters and reach 39 lei for fir trees of 2-3 meters. Trees larger than 3 meters are considered special orders. Romsilva also offers trees with protected roots, which can be replanted, but at additional costs. If the trees are sold in the market, transportation and handling costs will be included in the final price.
