Natalia Intotero announces the reorganization of Romsilva and the establishment of a working group to amend the Forestry Code

Romsilva’s management must present an initial reorganization plan for the state forestry administration by December 1, Environment Minister Natalia Intotero announced after a meeting with the institution’s employees. The document will serve as the basis for discussions on Romsilva’s future structure and operations.

Employee pay was another issue discussed. A working group will be established to identify solutions to existing inequalities and will also examine possible amendments to the Forestry Code.

The Environment Minister emphasized that the reorganization must be carried out through dialogue with employees and by making use of their experience. Natalia Intotero said that Romsilva must fulfill its responsibilities toward forests and communities through efficient organization and a fair relationship with its staff.

After the meeting, the minister went to the employees’ offices to discuss their work and concerns directly. She said the meetings are part of a broader effort to engage in dialogue with the staff of the Ministry of Environment and the institutions under its coordination.
