Environment Minister Mircea Fechet has launched a project to reform the National Forest Agency Romsilva, aiming to make it more efficient and transparent. The proposal includes reducing the number of directors from 121 to 17, with 5-year contracts and clear performance criteria. It will also implement a national competitive recruitment system and equal pay for equal work. Romsilva will merge the national park administrations and manage forestry activities through a single entity, promoting transparency and cost reduction.
