The renovation of the Mârzescu pavilion, intended for oncology patients, will no longer begin, although the start had been announced recently. Codin Maticiuc, the president of the Metropolis Foundation, made the information public on Facebook, mentioning that the project will be subject to a public debate to establish a new initiative.

The cancellation of the works is due to the decision of the Brașov County Council to approve the same investment. Maticiuc emphasized that the foundation has been raising funds for the rehabilitation of the pavilion for almost two years and appreciated the involvement of the local community. He will personally come to Brașov to explain the reasons for the suspension of the works and will make a public announcement on February 3, inviting donors and the press to participate.
